Fall 2017 Upgrade Instructions

Immediately after upgrading to Fall 2017, follow these steps:

  • Grant View All access to the ERx Event Parent Section object
  • Several new fields have been added to the following objects, so, immediately after installation, you must update the Public Access Settings of your Event Listing site, granting “Read” access to all fields on these objects:
    • ERx Event Parent Section
    • Event Registration Section
    • Visit
  • Add the new Status field to your Visit page layout
  • The Campaign object now has two Edit buttons: a Events Rx custom button labeled “Edit”—if you mouse over it you can see its real name is “ERx_Events_Edit”—and the "Standard Edit" button. In earlier versions of Events we used an override on the Standard "Edit" and "View" buttons, but these overrides are now obsolete. From now on, we use the custom ERx_Events_Edit button on the Campus Campaign Layout and the standard Edit button on all other layouts.
    • Access the Campaign object’s “Buttons, Links, and Actions” screen
      • Edit the Standard Edit button and make sure it is set to “No Override (use default)”
      • Do the same for the Standard View button
    • Access the Campaign object’s “Page Layouts” screen
      • On the “Campus Campaign Layout” under “Buttons”, put the ERx_Events_Edit custom button into the “Custom Buttons” area of the page layout and remove the Standard Edit button like this:

Still on the “Campus Campaign Layout” under “Mobile & Lighting Actions”, put the ERx_Events_Edit custom button into the section of the page called “Salesforce Mobile and Lighting Experience Actions” and remove the Standard Edit button like this:

On all other Campaign layouts, be sure to use the standard Edit button in both these places and remove the ERx_Events_Edit custom button completely from those layouts.
