About 2024 Release 1

Attention:
The documentation on this page is optional for 2024 Release 1. It's intended for those who are using the Education Cloud data model and/or enabling Person Accounts.

Overview

In our latest release, we've focused on making ERX products compatible with Salesforce’s new offering, Education Cloud and the use of Person Accounts, which combine account and contact information into a single record.

Considerations and Limitations

  1. You must enable Person Accounts in your org before you can check or uncheck “Person Account Model” in Custom Settings.
  2. Only one object model can be used at a time in your org. If the Person Account Model checkbox is checked, the Person Account Model will apply. If unchecked, the Contact Model will be used.

Events Rx Release Features

Overview

After checking the Person Account Model checkbox in Events Rx custom settings, the following Events Rx features will work with Person Accounts:

Campaign Configuration Page (Primary + Guest)

You don’t need to create Account fields for Person Accounts. These will be auto mapped on the Campaign Configuration page. The Guest section on the Campaign Configuration page comes from the field set “Guest Panel Fields” on the Account object.

If you click on the Add Field button/Add Guest Field button, the Person Account object and its corresponding fields should appear in the Field API Name list.

Visit Configuration Page (Primary + Guest)

Account fields for Person Accounts will be auto mapped on the Visit Series Configuration page. The Guest Section on the Visit Configuration page will come from the “Guest Panel Fields” field set on the Account object.

If you click the Add Field button/Add Guest Field button, the Person Account object and its corresponding fields should appear in the Field API Name list.

Visit Configuration Page (Primary + Guest)

Account fields for Person Accounts are auto mapped on the Visit Series configuration page. The guest section on the Visit Series Configuration page will come from the “Guest Panel Fields” field set on the Account object.

If you click on the Add Field button/Add Guest Field button, the Person Account object and its corresponding fields should appear in the Field API Name list.

Campaign Registration Page (Primary + Guest)

A Person Account record gets created and mapped with a campaign member after successful registration for the campaign.

Visit Registration Page (Primary +Guest)

A Person Account record gets created and mapped with visit after successful registration for a Visit Series.

These features will also work with Person Accounts when the Person Account Model is enabled:

  • Private Functionality for Campaign and Visit Series
  • Mutual Exclusive Functionality for Campaigns
  • Disable First Name/Last Name Custom Setting
  • QR Code for Mark Attendance
  • Manage Visitor List

Appointment Manager Release Features

Important:
Please note that if you are using the Appointment Manager module, you must also install ERX Core 2024 Release 1 (v6.25.1 or above) and FormBuilder 2024 Release 1 (v.6.43.1 or above).

If you're using the Appointment Manager module, following are the changes and enhancements related to Person Accounts.

Invite Person Account

Invite Person Account should be visible in place of the Invite Contact button on the Calendar user interface.

A popup window should appear, and you can click on the “To” field (this field should include only Person Account records)

FormBuilder Appointment Registration Page

Click on the configuration button after page creation. Users should be able to see the entire page configuration.

Go to the Account Data Set and click the Edit button.

Add Record Criteria as shown below and save the page (Record Type ID equals Static Person Account).

2024 Release 1 Upgrade Guide

Considerations when upgrading ERX products to 2024 Release 1:

  • If you need to enable Person Accounts, install all the latest versions of 2024 Release 1.
  • If you're using a version earlier than 2024 Release 1 and do not need to enable Person Accounts, you'll need to upgrade FormBuilder to be able to use the latest DXP version.
    Note:
FormBuilder should always be upgraded before DXP, or you will receive errors.
