Overview

Take a first look at Shopping Cart in this clip from the Building on the Best 2023 Welcome presentation.

Initial Requirements

There are a few initial requirements to get up and running with Shopping Cart. These are described in more detail below.

Prerequisites: FormBuilder and DXP

Be sure to install or upgrade FormBuilder and DXP to 2023 Release 2. Following are the minimum versions required to use Shopping Cart:

  • FormBuilder v6.35 or above
  • DXP v1.33 or above
Attention:
If you receive the following error when installing DXP, you'll need to Enable Orders in Salesforce.

Steps to Resolve this Error

  • Go to Setup, search for Order Settings, and click on it when it appears
  • Check the box for Enable Orders


Shopping Cart Must be Enabled by Enrollment Rx

The Shopping Cart feature must be enabled by the ERX support team before you can start using it. After you have installed or upgraded the appropriate versions of FormBuilder and DXP, send an email to support@enrollmentrx.com with your Salesforce Org ID.

Tip:
To locate your org ID:
  1. Go to Setup and search for "Company" in the Quick Find box
  2. Click the Company Information link when it appears

  3. On the Company Information page, your Organization ID is located under Organization Detail in the right column toward the bottom of the list.

Once your org is enabled, you may need to click Refresh License above the Environments list on the FormBuilder Rx tab, or refresh the page in the browser, to see the new Payment Builder and Cart Builder (DXP) subtabs

Next Steps

Next, you'll want to set up permissions for Community and Site Guest users and work with FormBuilder's Custom Metadata Types. The Custom Metadata Types allow you to have items automatically removed from a cart after it's idle for a period of time. These instructions are outlined separately in the next two sections.
