About 2024 Release 1

Attention:
The documentation on this page is optional for 2024 Release 1. It's intended for those who are using the Education Cloud data model and/or enabling Person Accounts.

Overview

In our latest release, we've focused on making ERX products compatible with Salesforce’s new offering, Education Cloud and the use of Person Accounts, which combine account and contact information into a single record.

Reader + DXP Setup

All of the following release documentation assumes that Person Accounts are enabled.

Configuration Objects

On the Configuration Object page you can see the Person Account label instead of Contact.

Configure Columns

On the Configure Columns window, Account Object fields will be shown along with the configured object fields as the Application.

Approval Process Entry Criteria Field Information

On the Approval Process Entry Criteria Field Information pop-up, you'll see the Account object along with its field.

Reference Document Download

The Account’s child objects will be shown on the Reference Document Download page.

Application Review Steps

The "Use FormBuilder" option will be available on the Application Review Step page.

Bulk, Pending & Assigned Application Page

On the Bulk, Pending and Assigned Application pages, Person Account, along with its fields, will be shown instead of Contact as a filter object.

Permissions

You'll need to map a Permission Set to the following Users ("Education Cloud Full Access").

Admin Profile

Non-Admin Profile

Sharing Settings

You'll also need to create a Sharing Setting for Individual Application objects for non-admin users.

RIO Permissions

If an Admin user creates a page using a Test Score object data set, a non-admin user profile will require CRUD and FLS permissions for fields used on the page.

Community Profile

To allow community users to send an application into the approval process, set the following permissions on the Community User Profile.

Permission set: Map the permission set to the Community User ("Education Cloud for Experience Cloud Access“)

Sharing Settings: Organization-Wide Defaults should be Public Read/Write for Individual Application objects.

2024 Release 1 Upgrade Guide

Considerations when upgrading ERX products to 2024 Release 1:

  • If you need to enable Person Accounts, install all the latest versions of 2024 Release 1.
  • If you're using a version earlier than 2024 Release 1 and do not need to enable Person Accounts, you'll need to upgrade FormBuilder to be able to use the latest DXP version.
    Note:
FormBuilder should always be upgraded before DXP, or you will receive errors.
