Overview

For users with FormBuilder Rx and DXP, this release introduces several enhancements to the Shopping Cart experience, product discovery, and checkout functionality. These updates provide greater flexibility in product display configuration, improved search capabilities, and an enhanced guest checkout experience that allows end users to complete purchases without logging in.

New Features

  • Product List Sorting: Users can now efficiently sort products on the Shopping Cart product list page using the Sort Order button. The following sorting options are available:
    • Title (A to Z)
    • Title (Z to A)
    • Price: Low to High
    • Price: High to Low
  • Configurable Field Selection: A new multi-picklist box, Display Product Page Fields, allows administrators to separately control which product fields appear on the product list view and the product detail page.
  • Product Description Rich Text Support: The Product Description field now supports Rich Text Area formatting. Administrators can include formatting such as:
    • Bold
    • Italics
    • Underline
    • Bullet points
    • Numbered lists
    • Hyperlinks

    Formatted descriptions are saved and displayed correctly on the product detail page.

  • Global Search: Shopping Cart now includes Global Search functionality. Administrators can configure searchable fields using the Global Search Fields multi-picklist.
    Note:
    Only Text Type fields are supported.
  • Dynamic URL Parameters: The system dynamically updates URLs based on user actions such as selecting products or applying filters. Users can:
    • Access filtered product lists via URL
    • Share search results links
    • Navigate directly to specific product detail pages using a product ID in the URL
  • Product Tagging: Administrators can configure product tags using a multi-select picklist field on the product object. Configured values appear as visual tags on the product display page. If multiple tags exist, they display compactly, and users can hover to view the full list.
  • Collapsible Filter Section: The Shopping Cart page now supports collapsible filters. Users can toggle the filter section to hide or display available filters, allowing more efficient use of screen space while maintaining active filter selections.
  • Guest Checkout: FormBuilder now supports a Cart Guest Checkout page type that enables guest users to complete purchases without logging in. They can also apply product-specific and general discount codes. This allows a streamlined checkout experience while still capturing required user information during checkout.

Enhancements

Lookup Field Validation

Improved validation ensures that when users enter a value in a lookup field without selecting a valid record from the lookup list, the system prevents the record from being saved and displays a validation message.

Accessibility Improvements

addLanguage attributes used in the application now follow standardized accessibility formatting conventions to improve compliance with accessibility standards and compatibility with accessibility auditing tools.

Improved Save Behavior Across Browsers

Enhancements to form persistence ensure that data entered during application review workflows is reliably saved across supported browsers.

System Stability

Additional improvements include:

  • Improved handling of API names containing reserved keywords
  • Improved date handling to correctly respect user time zones
  • Improved rendering of page builder section background colors
  • Consistent display of environment builder expand/collapse controls
  • Expanded static resource support for template configuration

User Interface Improvements

The Shopping Cart configuration page renders interface elements consistently across supported browsers.

For Admins

Guest user access is now controlled through Allow Object Access (AOA). Sharing Rules are no longer required for Site Guest Users.
