Using the Annotations Interface on an iPad

Here are how the screens shown above appear on an iPad:

All of the tools work on iPad, just as they do on a laptop or desktop, except that you use your finger directly on the screen instead of a mouse or trackpad.

You can also annotate in portrait mode on a tablet, using the pencil icon to toggle between the left and right toolbars:
