Submitting Applications into an Automatic Approval Process
This happens automatically whenever an Application is updated to meet the entry criteria for an automatic approval process, provided that the fields referenced in those criteria have been set up as Approval Process Entry Criteria Fields, as explained immediately above.
Note:
Applications enter an automatic Approval Process only when they are updated so that they change from not meeting an active Approval Process’ Entry Criteria to meeting those criteria. So, if you encounter an application that is not under review even though it meets the entry criteria for an automatic process, try updating the application so that it no longer meets the entry criteria and then changing it back so it meets them. This should force the application to enter the process. (This situation arises if the application met the criteria before the process was activated or before all the entry criteria fields were configured.)
